Why the diving world rates it.
Palau earns its reputation site by site: Blue Corner, where sharks and jacks stack in the current; German Channel, where mantas come to be cleaned; the Rock Islands, a UNESCO lagoon of green mushroom islets over turquoise; WWII wrecks resting where they fell. In 2009 Palau declared the world's first shark sanctuary, and the reefs show what protection at that scale does. Few places concentrate this much celebrated diving into so small a map.
Why we chose it.
Because it delivers the dives people dream about, and because the variety means a week here can be shaped to any diver — sheltered lagoons and easy reefs on one side, channels and blue water on the other. Whatever your level, the course is designed around you; the destination simply gives us extraordinary material to work with.
